I am experienced and fully qualified in simultaneous interpretation, a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (No. 51136: MCIL) and AIIC pre-candidate.
Due to its immediacy and the intense cognitive demands placed on the interpreter, simultaneous interpretation is a specialised service provided by highly-trained individuals equipped with the necessary skills and experience to deliver the job to the highest standard.
Simultaneous interpreting services are widely used in a number of different types of settings, from international summits to business meetings and conferences.
Trusting an experienced, qualified professional is an important step in ensuring the success of your interpreter-mediated event.

Simultaneous Interpreting
This highly specialised service is characterised by its immediacy and fast pace. At the same time the speaker is delivering their message, the interpreter is orally translating it into another language (hence the term ‘simultaneous‘). Simultaneous interpreting is commonly used in conferences and summits, as well as workshops, by tour guides and other public service settings.
Consecutive Interpreting
This is a professional interpretation service that requires the interpreter to listen, take notes and then translate the message into another language. Unlike simultaneous interpreting, in consecutive interpreting the message is translated after the speaker has finished their sentence, idea, or concept (hence the term ‘consecutive‘).
Remote Interpreting
Both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting can be delivered face to face or, alternatively, in a remote setting via Zoom, MS Teams, Interprefy, or any other suitable remote conference software. Remote interpretation can be a highly convenient and cost-effective solution in some scenarios.
Whispering Interpretation
Also known as ‘chuchotage’ (French for ‘whispering’), it’s a form of simultaneous interpreting without the use of any professional equipment. Typically, the interpreter stands next to the delegate and verbally translates the originally message to them in a low tone of voice, designed to be audible only to the recipient.
Dialogue Interpreting
Also known as ‘short consecutive‘, it is a form of consecutive interpreting that does not involve note-taking: the interpreter renders the original message into the target language one sentence at a time. It tends to work best with short sentences, and is commonly used in public service settings.
Liaison Interpreting
Also known as ‘escort interpreting’, in liaison interpretation the interpreter accompanies the delegates wherever they go. This form is often used for business trips or international relations assignments with busy, dynamic schedules. Depending on the situation, it may involve both consecutive and simultaneous interpreting.
