Portuguese Interpreter, Translator and Project Manager
I’m a Portuguese interpreter who has been professionally engaged with the language services industry since 2017. Over the years, I accumulated extensive experience as a Conference Interpreter, Translator and Project Manager in several different settings, including international summits, bilateral events with State officials, business and legal meetings, and conferences on a variety of subjects.
I hold an MA in Translation and Interpreting (University of Surrey) and my expertise includes areas such as International Relations, Business, Policy, Defence & Security, Legal, Medical and Education.
My extensive client portfolio includes UN agencies, EU Institutions, NGOs, government ministries and departments, embassies, major brands and corporations, law firms, military organisations, and so forth.
I am also a full member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (No. 51136: MCIL) and AIIC pre-candidate.
I work from English, Italian and Spanish into Portuguese, as well as from Portuguese into English.

Simultaneous interpreting
Most multilingual conferences these days operate on a simultaneous interpreting basis. This type of interpretation requires the interpreter to orally translate the original message into another language at the same time, usually through specialised equipment such as a soundproof booth and an interpreter’s console. Consecutive interpreting
Whenever the interpreter verbally translates the original message through note-taking, this is called consecutive interpreting. The translation is delivered after the speaker has finished their sentence, concept or idea. When hiring a Portuguese interpreter for a consecutive setting, always ensure that they are fully qualified and experienced.
Remote interpretation
Interpreting services can either be performed face-to-face or online. When the interpreter is working remotely via Zoom, MS Teams, Interprefy, or any other suitable conference software, this is known as remote interpretation. In some cases, opting for a Portuguese interpreter through an online setup can be a highly efficient and cost-effective solution.
Translation
Written translation from one language to another. If you need your content or documents translated into Portuguese, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Depending on the type of document, I may also translate from Portuguese into English (usually personal documents such as passports, birth or marriage certificates, diplomas, and so forth).
